IE6 and IE7 Solution for Vista and Windows 7 usersSeptember 1st, 2009

In my desperate search for a solution to make my Windows 7 support the older versions of IE, i found this site – http://www.my-debugbar.com/wiki/IETester/HomePage – . It’s a smooth solution for running degrading browsers from Microsoft.

Ofcourse like many other tools you can not completely fool the master IE. This tools has some limitations:

  1. The Previous/Next buttons are not working properly
  2. Focus is not working properly
  3. Java applets are not working
  4. Flash is not working on IE6 instance in user mode : A solution is to launch IETester as admin user and Flash will work.
  5. CSS Filters are not working correctly in user mode : A solution is to launch IETester as admin user and CSS Filters will work.

This are not big problems and it seems that they have an workaround.
